Fun fact:
The Empress has actually been planning a wedding for Pearl for years because despite being 285 years old and one of the best warriors of her generation, she is a sucker for weddings and loves planning them.
Ugh… I keep attempting to improve with each comic but damn… I just suck.
I had to take a shot at drawing bara gem~

Curse you!!!
FINALLY! I was starting to think I was the only one that thought this was traumatizing to think about.
Cause who doesn’t like the taste of fandom tears?
It’s happening again! Some of the artists behind last December’s ALOS Holiday Stream told me about the plight of Cristalis, an artist in Colombia who’s been having trouble supporting himself due to his lack of a GED. Apparently, he only needs $120 to get it, so that’s what this drive is for! Getting him that diploma will hopefully help him find a job so he can feed himself, get a place to stay, and all that stuff that’s important in todays society.
The K in it, though, refers to another person I know who needs some help: Kyle, aka Nittany Discord. He suffers from GAD, and until recently he was living with his abusive grandmother. The stress from that was keeping him from making any progress with his anxiety therapy. Thankfully, recently he was able to move out to another friends place, and is now preparing to leave the US altogether to live with his good friend in the UK. However, funds will make that transition smoother and less likely to fail, so half of the money raised above $120 will go to him. The other half will go to Cristalis.
As to how this stream’ll work, it’ll be pretty similar to the last one. For 52 hours, we’ll have a variety of artists hanging out in the multistream playing games, taking commissions, drawing said commissions and talking on Skype. Since this one is happening so soon after the last one, I didn’t ask everyone in my contacts if they wanted to join in this one, so if you want to join in as an artist and offer commissions as well we’d be more than happy to let you in. Just contact me on here or on Skype and we’ll get it sorted out.
As to the mechanica of the stream, let me copypaste some things from the ALOS Stream post (with some edited links) since it’s using the same structure:
Here’s the links (by Artist, by Money) to the list of artists in the drive, and the kinds of commissions they have to offer. Not all of them will be in the stream, but even those not in the stream can be commissioned. The host (Me, ALOS, or Shuttershade) will just have to send the information to the artist.
Here’s how the stream will work: There’s going to be the main channel, and 8 side channels. The main channel is where the call will be, any games that’re going to be played, and where the host of the stream will be. If an artist who can stream gets commissioned, they’ll sign into one of the side channels and start streaming there. It sounds confusing, but all of these channels can be loaded up by clicking here. It’ll make more sense when you see it in action, and we’ve designed it so there’s as little work on the audiences end as possible. On the right there’ll be a chat, and at the top of that buttons showing which streams chatroom you’re in. Please make sure that’s set to alostreamhost. The individual channel chatrooms can be used to message artists who are streaming, say if you commissioned something and want to share references/ask for changes/etc. As well, I would recommend muting all the streams except for alostreamhost (the one in the middle). You can fullscreen alostreamhost as well if youw ant to. If your computer can’t handle loading up all these streams, even though most of them will be off at any given time, you can click here to only load up the main channel.STREAM RULES:
- No bold/italic/underline
- No roleplaying
- No links unless you ask first and the host allows itHere’s how commissions are going to work, in short:
1. Commissioner asks for a commission, says what it is they’d like to commission from who
2. Information is sent to the artist, either through the host or through them being in the stream
3. Artist accepts commission, commissioner pays money to host
4. Once the host receives the money, the artist starts drawing
5. Artist draws the image; upon completion, host sends money to Cristalis/KyleHere’s the schedule of when several of the artists are going to be on. All times are in Pacific Time (GMT-8). Green means Yes, Yellow means Maybe, and Red means No. Of course, this schedule isn’t set in stone… there’s several artists who will be on who haven’t put times into the sheet, and there’s a few who have just put everything Yes because they think they’ll be on pretty much the whole time. So, use it if you want to get a commission from a certain artist, but take it with a grain of salt.Unfortunately, you need to have a Twitch account in order to use the chat. It’s pretty easy to make a Twitch account, but if you don’t feel like doing it, feel free to send commission requests and/or general chat to my, ALOS or Shutters inbox depending on who is hosting. I don’t know about the other two, but I have my email rigged up to my inbox. I should be able to act on messages sent through there pretty much in real time. One last thing that might be interesting: We’re planning on coding up a ‘Gamble Wheel’ to allow you to bet the money you put in for commissions and have a chance of winning even more art with your money! Grimm’s working on it, and it’s not quite complete yet, but here’s a WIP picture to prove it’s in progress.
Sorry for the long post, and hope to see you in the stream!
Starting this evening!
